Taken on March 30, the USNS Comfort docks at Pier 90 on the west side of Manhattan. Crowds took to the walkway just outside the dock to witness the historic arrival of the naval ship into New York City. Reporters were interviewing bystanders, and police were managing the crowds as the ropes were tied and the ship was welcomed into its new home.
